We Hire for Character. We Train for Skill.

You do not need any haircutting experience to apply to the Broken Arrow Apprenticeship.

Every barber in our shop today was trained by Bryton at Paul Mitchell The School Provo.

We can teach you how to cut hair. We can teach fades, scissor work, consultations, styling, and the technical skills it takes to become a great barber.

What we can’t teach is character.

We’re looking for people who work hard, show up when they say they will, treat people well, take responsibility, stay humble, and genuinely want to improve.

At Broken Arrow, we’d rather train someone from day one who has the right attitude and values than take someone with years of experience who doesn’t.

01 / Character

What We Look For

Work ethic

You show up, put in the work, and don’t need someone constantly pushing you.

Character

You’re honest, responsible, respectful, and someone we’d trust around our clients and team.

People skills

You don’t have to be the most outgoing person in the room, but you should care about people and be able to make someone feel comfortable in your chair.

Coachability

You can take correction without getting defensive and put feedback into practice.

Reliability

If you say you’re going to be somewhere, you’re there.

Drive

You actually want to become great at this, not simply do enough to get licensed.

02 / Experience

What We Don’t Require

Previous haircutting experience.

Never held clippers before? That’s okay.

Our job is to teach you the skill. Your job is to bring the character, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Hire for character. Train for skill.

Apply like it’s a job. Because it is.
