The Story of Broken Arrow Barbershop: From Payson to Orem
From a small barbershop in Payson to an award-winning shop in Orem, this is how Broken Arrow came together.

Introduction
Broken Arrow Barbershop didn’t start as an established shop in Orem. It started smaller, in Payson, Utah, and grew one client at a time.
Broken Arrow is in Orem now, but a lot of what defines the shop came from those earlier years: relationships with clients, learning and teaching the craft, and trying to make a barbershop people actually want to come back to.
Broken Arrow was founded by Bryton Webber. Bryton has 5 years of experience cutting hair. He’s a licensed barber and a licensed barber instructor.
01 / Payson
Where Broken Arrow Started
Broken Arrow’s first chapter was in Payson. The shop’s reputation there came slowly: one appointment at a time, clients who came back, people who told their friends, and reviews.
By the time the Payson shop closed, it had more than 240 Google reviews.
That’s not something that happens overnight. Payson is where Broken Arrow learned what kind of shop it wanted to be, and much of that came with it to Orem.
02 / Teaching
More Than Cutting Hair
Over time, Bryton’s work in barbering went beyond the chair. He became a licensed barber instructor and taught at Paul Mitchell.
Teaching put him next to barbers while they were still learning: how to hold the clippers, how to read someone’s hair, how to talk to the person in the chair.
It’s also where two important relationships started. Two of his students at Paul Mitchell were Connor and Elise.

03 / The team
Building the Broken Arrow Team
Before Connor and Elise ever worked at Broken Arrow, Bryton knew them as their instructor. He watched them learn, build their skills, figure out how to work with people, and grow into barbers.
When it was time to put a team together for the new shop in Orem, he asked both of them to come work with him.
They didn’t answer an open-chair listing. Bryton had already worked closely with them, had been part of their education, and knew what kind of people and barbers they were becoming. He wanted people around him he already knew and trusted, so the team was built on purpose from the start.
They didn’t answer a listing. He asked them.

04 / Recognition
Three Best of Utah Valley Recognitions
As Broken Arrow grew, the wider Utah Valley community started to notice. The shop has been recognized in the Daily Herald’s Best of Utah Valley awards three times.
That matters to us because Broken Arrow’s reputation has mostly been built by its clients: their reviews, their recommendations, and the local community. Read about the 2026 recognition.
05 / Orem
A New Chapter in Orem
Broken Arrow’s next chapter started when it opened its current shop in Orem. Moving into the new space meant starting again in a new community while bringing along everything built in Payson.
One of the first milestones came in 2026. After only a few months in the new space, Broken Arrow was recognized again in the Daily Herald Best of Utah Valley awards.
That one meant a lot. A new location is a fresh start, and hearing from the community that early told the team the move was working.
06 / Today
Broken Arrow Today
Today Broken Arrow Barbershop is a men’s barbershop in Orem, Utah, serving clients from Orem, Provo, and throughout Utah Valley and Utah County. Our services are men’s haircuts, haircut and beard, Signature Haircut appointments, and men’s hair replacement and hair systems.
The idea behind the shop is that men’s hair isn’t one-size-fits-all. People have different hair types, textures, growth patterns, hairlines, face shapes, lifestyles, styling habits, and goals.
A good barber should understand the person in the chair instead of giving everyone the same haircut.

07 / Hair loss
Helping Men With Hair Loss
One area Broken Arrow keeps developing is helping men with thinning hair, receding hairlines, and hair loss.
Sometimes changing the haircut’s shape, length, texture, or how it’s styled makes a big difference to how your existing hair looks.
For more significant hair loss, we also offer non-surgical men’s hair replacement. A hair system is fitted, cut, and blended into your own hair so the result looks natural.
08 / What’s next
Still Learning. Still Teaching. Still Building.
Education is still a big part of Broken Arrow. Bryton’s years as an instructor, including teaching Connor and Elise before they joined him, shaped how he thinks about running a shop and developing barbers.
Helping barbers grow and keep improving the craft is part of where Broken Arrow wants to go next.

09
The Story Isn’t Finished
Broken Arrow has gone from a shop in Payson to its home in Orem. Along the way it has collected hundreds of client reviews, been recognized in Best of Utah Valley three times, added men’s hair replacement, and brought together a team whose relationships started before the current shop existed.
To the clients who supported us in Payson, and the clients supporting the Orem shop now: thank you.
