The right haircut can make thinning hair look fuller and a receding hairline less obvious. The wrong one draws attention straight to it.
Short answer
Keep the sides shorter with a low or mid taper, keep the top short to medium with texture, and avoid a hard part line or a very high fade. Bryton does most of our thinning-hair cuts.

What works
Shorter sides make the top look fuller by comparison. Texture on top breaks up the scalp showing through. A forward or slightly messy style covers a receding hairline better than a slick back.
Matte products add grip without shine. Shine makes thinning hair look thinner.

What to avoid
Very high fades, sharp line-ups at the temples, a hard part, lots of length on top and heavy gel. All of these make the areas you’d rather hide easier to see.

When a haircut isn’t enough
A haircut can change how thinning hair looks. It won’t stop or reverse hair loss. If you want a full head of hair back, a non-surgical hair system can cost as little as $5.07 a day, and the consultation is free.

Who to book
Bryton likes a challenge, and clients who haven’t liked their hair in a while because of thinning or a receding hairline are a big part of his week. He’ll look at your hair and tell you what the cut should be.

Will a buzz cut make it look worse?
Not usually. Very short hair makes thinning less noticeable. It depends on your head shape, which Bryton will check.
Should I grow it longer to cover it?
Usually no. Longer hair separates and shows more scalp.
